No. Each portrait is created by a talented human artist who carefully hand-illustrates your pet from your photo.

1. Get up close! Take your pet’s photo in bright, natural light (outdoors or near a window) for the most accurate colors and details.
2. Face forward: Capture a clear, front-facing shot that includes their ears, head, neck, and upper chest so we can create the perfect crop of your pet’s face.
3. Avoid tricky angles or edits: Skip overhead shots, heavy filters, and blurry photos. We’re also not able to illustrate photos of pets lying down.

Don't worry about it — upload the photo you love and we'll take a look. If it won't work for a portrait, our team will reach out and help you pick a better one before we start. You won't be left guessing.

Absolutely! You can create a portrait for 1, 2, 3, or even 4 pets together. If you would like more than 4 pets in a single portrait, please reach out to our support team at support@shopmadprints.com for help.

We’re happy to assist with any updates to your pet portrait order. Just reach out to support@shopmadprints.com as soon as possible.

Please keep in mind that once an order has been fulfilled, we’re unable to make any changes, including address updates. In some cases, order modifications may also cause slight shipping delays.

No need to worry about what’s behind your pet in the photo. A clean background is great, but it’s completely fine if there are toys, furniture, or other items. The focus is always on your pet, not the setting!

No — we remove leashes, collars, harnesses, and other accessories so the focus stays on your pet. If there's something specific you were hoping to keep, email support@shopmadprints.com before ordering and we'll let you know what's possible.

At this time, we ship to the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, and the UK. We also offer a digital file option if you’d prefer to print and frame the portrait yourself!

Every portrait is illustrated by hand, so timing varies a little. Most orders arrive at your door within 1–2 weeks from the day you order. If you choose the digital file, it can be ready in just a few days.

You'll get an email with tracking as soon as your order ships.

Standard orders go straight to print once the artwork is finished, so there's no preview step. If you'd like to see and approve your portrait first, add Skip the Line + Preview at checkout — we'll move you to the front of the design queue and email you the finished artwork for your approval before anything gets printed.

Either way, if something isn't right when your order arrives, email support@shopmadprints.com and we'll take care of it.

We want you to love your portrait. If your artwork didn't turn out the way you hoped, email support@shopmadprints.com and our customer care team will work with you to make it right. If your order arrives damaged, we'll replace it.

Because every portrait is custom illustrated from your pet's photo, we aren't able to accept returns or exchanges on change-of-mind orders.

Yes! You can choose between several frame options at checkout or select an unframed poster or a digital PDF file only. All frames are designed to complement your custom artwork and arrive ready to hang right out of the box.

Each portrait is hand-illustrated by a professional digital artist and printed on premium matte art paper using museum-quality inks. Every order goes through a detailed review process to ensure color accuracy and consistency before shipping.

Any animal you love! From dogs and cats to bunnies, birds, or even horses we can turn any pet into a custom portrait. At this time, we don’t create portraits featuring humans.

Yes! Every order ships with tracking included. You’ll get your tracking number and delivery updates sent right to your email once your order is on its way.

Yes! You can either add a digital file to your portrait order or choose to purchase the digital file only — perfect if you’d like to print and frame it yourself.

Skip the Line + Preview does two things. First, it moves your portrait to the front of our design queue, so our artists start and finish your artwork ahead of standard orders. Second, once it's done, we email you the finished piece to approve before it goes to print — so you know exactly what's arriving.
